Ever wonder what's it's like to work at a record label? My name's Chris and I work at Polyvinyl Records. I used to pack mailorder, but now I head up the production department.

Come on in, join my blog, and I'll show you my world...

There’s only one day left until Record Store Day and one release left to highlight…and it’s a big one!
of Montreal Satanic Panic in the Attic 2xLP (ltd. to 2000 on blue/yellow vinyl)
Featuring “Disconnect the Dots,” “Lysergic Bliss,” “Chrissie Kiss the Corpse” and more, Satanic Panic in the Attic was of Montreal’s debut release on Polyvinyl.
To celebrate this classic album’s 10-year anniversary, the entire record has been re-mastered for vinyl and comes beautifully packaged in a gatefold jacket with expended artwork plus a second disc containing seven additional tracks recorded during the same era.

Our series of Picture Disc Editions continues with Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin’s beloved debut album Broom.
This one-time pressing is limited to 300 numbered copies.
It definitely won’t be long until they’re all gone, so make sure to pick up a copy before they’re all swept up. (Get it? Sweep? Broom? Ok…)

Nice moves! I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure you just increased the re-sale value on that vehicle by at least 12%.

STRFKR and Painted Palms played a couple of shows together last week and our social networking guru Andy was along for the ride.

Above are some of his pics from the trip.

If you missed out, don’t worry because both bands are still on the road.

STRFKR is playing the second weekend of Coachella and if their set is anything like last weekend (which Huffington Post declared was the festival’s “Most WTF Moment” — in a good way) it will definitely be a must see.

Painted Palms just kicked off their first European tour. They’ll be playing shows through the end of the month, so check out all the remaining dates.

cmj:

White Reaper do not wait for introductions in their single Half Bad. They unleash a sonic blitzkrieg, busting out of the gate with powerful drums, stinging gits and cheeky keys. It’s a wild ride—for about three minutes.

Saw this trio play in Champaign about a month ago and they completely blew our faces off for the entire 15 minutes they were on stage. Can’t wait for the full EP to come out!

Pre-order a copy on clear pink vinyl in our E-Store now.

Shugo Tokumaru (トクマルシューゴ) - “Poker” [P-Vine / Polyvinyl]

Awesomely animated video for a track off Shugo Tokumaru’s equally excellent 2013 release In Focus?.

There are only two days left until Record Store Day, so it’s fitting that today’s post features a double dose of vinyl. Enjoy!
Saturday Looks Good To Me Love Will Find You (ltd. to 500)

Originally released as a CD-R and available at a single show in 2002, this “lost album” captured SLGTM’s live sound at the time — highlighting the group’s knack for crafting rich and energetic arrangements heightened by male-female vocals. First time on vinyl.
Saturday Looks Good To Me Saturday Looks Good To Me (ltd. to 500)

Recorded entirely on cassette four-track, Saturday Looks Good To Me’s self-released debut album re-interprets the summery fun of Motown and Oldies radio through a murky crust of noise. First time on vinyl for this expanded 14-song version.
