Softball Blues
Danielle and I play on a slow-pitch softball team in the Champaign Rec League every Thursday. We had a good start tonight, but ended up losing again. For the tenth time in a row. Looks like we might have to change our name to the Bad News Bears…
Happy Birthday To You
Today is Adam’s birthday. Danielle (our retail sales liaison/primary website model) made a cake to celebrate. We only put one candle on it because we were afraid the office might burn down if we lit the true number :-)

Kickstart My Heart

Well, the long weekend’s finally over — but it definitely ended with a bang. Japandroids rocked. Hard. A lot of people came up to the table after the set saying how the band had won them over. Went to The Billy Goat Tavern (made famous by an old SNL skit) after the show ended yesterday and then again today for lunch. I think it’s pretty funny for a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan like me to be eating at a place named after the animal supposedly responsible for the Cubs’ playoff curse. The Cheezborger! This is my second year working the Polyvinyl merch table at Pitchfork so I thought I’d be better prepared this time around, but I definitely should’ve traded the sunblock for a sweashirt.
