Ironically, after moving to Michigan in August, our good friend & former mailorder employee Cole recently launched a website for the C-U Music Collective — a DIY organization made up of musicians, promoters, and music fans in the Champaign-Urbana area.

The website is loaded with artist pages, venue info, a show calendar, and much, much more. I highly recommend checking out the site if you live in the area or are interested in our music scene.

Who knows — you could discover the next Braid! (Or REO Speedwagon.)

In other C-U related news, three local acts — Midstress, Take Care, and Common Loon — have organized a Japan Benefit show taking place on Saturday (12/3). More info can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/events/125884477520119/

Besides being profiled on the C-U Collective site, all three are among 23 bands featured on Japan 3.11.11, a compilation album released on Polyvinyl in October.

All profits from sales of the record are being donated to the Red Cross to help fund its continuing relief efforts in Japan.

The limited edition 180-gram red 2xLP and MP3s can be purchased in our E-Store. A CD version can be found at Amazon
